This one of six E30 M3s prepared by Steve Dinan for IMSA GT Competition. It’s a solid, west coast car that arrived at our shop with tired paint and various other maladies that reflect its nearly 20 years on the planet.
Our initial task was an exterior restoration with new rubber and trim. Outside body surfaces were stripped to bare metal and resprayed with original two-stage BMW Sterling silver. Also added were new Euro rocker sills and a pair of rare AC Schnitzer door mirrors, European grilles and carbon-fiber center kidney.
The office got a pair of Euro-only factory issue Sport Evo Recaro seats and custom stitched door panels in Porsche grey Nappa leather.
Attention to detail doesn’t stop there, however. Alcantara headliner and a pair of Red Evo seatbelts topped off the package.
The car has been featured in several magazines, including the UK-based “Performance BMW.”
